Brian Minick, CEO & Co-founder

Brian brings 14 years of diverse cyber security experience and leadership.  Before founding Morphick, he was the CISO at General Electric’s Aviation, Energy, and Transportation businesses. He was responsible for developing and implementing advanced cyber security strategies that protected GE’s multi-billion-dollar infrastructure and resources worldwide. As the infrastructure design leader for GE, he led efforts to implement defense strategies to mitigate advanced persistent threats for the infrastructure supporting more than 122,000 employees worldwide.  Brian has also consulted with the White House and State Department on cyber policy and collaborated with the CIO of the Pentagon and members of the NSA on cyber detection technologies.

Brian Klenke, Vice President, Incident Response & Co-founder

Brian Klenke is the Vice President of Incident Response for Morphick Cyber Security. In this role, he leads a team of experienced incident responders that help organizations identify and respond to targeted cyber intrusions.

Brian brings 15 years of information security experience to this position. Before joining Morphick Cyber Security, he was a Senior Cyber Intelligence Analyst for the Lockheed Martin CIRT. He was also instrumental in building the counter-APT program for General Electric’s Aviation, Energy, and Transportation businesses. He has been a leading contributor to the counter-APT community within the Defense Industrial Base, organizing and leading cyber intelligence sharing events between the major defense contractors and the US intelligence community, including the DoD, FBI, USAF, and NCIS.

Brian has presented on counter-APT techniques and initiatives to the CIO of the Pentagon, the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3), and defense industry groups. Additionally, he has participated in meetings with senior cyber policy makers at the White House and Department of State.

Michael Picton, Vice President, Security Managed Services & Co-founder

Leading the managed services team that hunts for malicious threat activity, Michael helps Morphick Cyber Security customers identify and remediate emerging cyber risks. Before co-founding Morphick Cyber Security, he held the title of IT Compliance and Risk Leader at General Electric’s Aviation business where he was responsible for managing IT governance, risk, and compliance across a global multi-billion-dollar organization serving both commercial and defense customers. He implemented processes and technologies to effectively mitigate information and technology risks, and build a defensible compliance posture, while maintaining balance with changing strategic business objectives.

Michael started at Sun Microsystem’s  IT Leadership Program, and later served Sun’s largest clients as a high availability systems engineer in Sun’s Enterprise Services division. After Sun, Michael ran 24×7 IT operations for a major mobile services provider client at Convergys Corp. Throughout his career, he has focused on building highly effective, customer-focused global teams within IT services as well as systems architecture and design, IT operations, and acquisition integration.

David Lavinder, Vice President, Threat Intelligence

Dave joined Morphick from the US Intelligence Community, where he created and led a Digital Network Intelligence (DNI) mission in support of Air Force intelligence requirements.  His implementation of this mission quickly became the model of how to effectively integrate network intelligence into Service Intelligence Centers.  Previously, Dave worked at the Air Force Research Laboratory, where he led a team that pioneered the first-ever bi-directional protection level 5 (PL5) multi-level security system for the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) program office that was deployed to over 25,000 users.  In addition to his extensive intelligence community background, Dave is also a graduate of the US Air Force Academy.

Michael Masset, Vice President, Infrastructure/Chief Security Technology Architect

Michael delivers the infrastructure behind the products and managed services that enable Morphick Cyber Security customers to address emerging cyber risks.

Michael brings 25 years of diverse information technology experience managing, supporting, and implementing infrastructure solutions to this position. He joined Morphick Cyber Security after spending time providing design, support, and implementation services for managed services customers at Logicalis. Prior to that he worked for CBTS at General Electric’s Aviation Division, managing and supporting the security tools infrastructure.

Michael has spent many years working and consulting in managed services, manufacturing, healthcare, and defense industries across all facets of the IT infrastructure including networking, virtualization, security, and server support. This diversity of experience has given him the opportunity to work with many different and ever changing security strategies to protect internal data and defend network perimeters.

Thomas P. Jennings, Esq. (CPA-Inactive), Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Tom serves as COO, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and leads the Accounting, Finance and Human Resources functions and also oversees the Company’s Compliance programs, Intellectual Property Portfolio, Corporate Governance and Investor Relations.

Tom brings a wide range of leadership experience in starting and building companies and providing strategic guidance through the various stages of maturity of venture backed companies.  Prior to joining Morphick, he served as President of Union Springs, LLC, a private equity firm specializing in the life science industry.  He also previously served  as President of PediaMed Pharmaceuticals and as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Ausio Pharmaceuticals, Elder High School Alumni Board of Governors and the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation.  Tom holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Cincinnati and a J.D. from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law.

Greg Schoeny, Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Greg Schoeny is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Morphick.  In this role, Greg leads all sales, marketing and strategic business development functions for the company including partner program development and strategic growth initiatives.  Greg brings 20 years of leadership sales, marketing, and strategic business development experience from world-class technology and services companies.  Greg has an extensive track-record successfully managing large global Customer relationships and building high-performance sales organizations.

Most recently, Greg spent eight years with Cisco Systems in leadership sales management and strategic business development roles with responsibility for over $400M in annual product and service bookings across a number of Cisco’s largest global Customers.  Prior to Cisco, Greg spent three years with Cincinnati Bell, developing and launching the company’s entertainment and fiber-based broadband service business.   Greg was a founding member of STS Communications, a broadband service provider whose investors included Liberty Media Corp.  Greg has an MBA from the University of Denver and BA from Colorado State University.

Paul Schaefer, Vice President, Product Development

Paul leads the software development team for Morphick, delivering the Morphick Defense Platform interface. During the course of his career, he has focused on delivering continuous improvement across business operations, specifically within software development.

Joining Morphick Paul brings a strong focus on Agile Development, DevOps, and Continuous Improvement across the SDLC. Paul has Green Belt Certified experience in managing people and projects in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Prior to that, Paul focused on Business Improvement and Project Management. Paul has a Computer Science degree from Miami University.
